The Magnificent Frigatebird (Fregata magnificens) is a large seabird with a wingspan approaching 2 and a half meters. With its characteristic gliding flight, it can effortlessly travel over 1,000 kilometers offshore. Its skeleton constitutes only 5% of its total weight, which doesn't exceed one and a half kilograms. It nests in large colonies on mangroves or shrubs along the coast.
