Agaves belong to a large family of plants characterized by a short stem and a typical rosette arrangement of fleshy, fibrous leaves. These plants bloom once they reach maturity and then die to regrow again at the base. The inflorescence forms on a stem that emerges from the center of the rosette and can grow several meters tall. The sharp spines were used by natives for cutting and tattooing the skin.
Originally from the arid regions of Mexico and the Americas, the Agave presents itself with fleshy, pointed leaves arranged in geometric rosettes that create a unique visual composition. In art and design, the Agave has inspired creatives worldwide, becoming a distinctive element in landscaped gardens and botanical artworks.
